Blinking Lights and Other Revelations, the very excellent new Eels album was released today. Buy it or, alternatively, borrow, steal or download it .... well, maybe it's not best to download it since it'd be nice if the band were paid enough to expand on their tour dates and, in the long term, release other excellent albums. In the past couple of years, we've had an interesting assortment of sleeping arrangements. We have (in no particular order) slept in a tent in Leeds,on couches in Welwyn, bedroom floors in Sunderland, and beds in Lowestoft. We've slept in the Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary. We've slept in London, Blackpool, Preston, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. And that is without even mentioning the beds in various houses before this one.
Last night we surpassed ourselves. We slept on a patch of grass. A patch of grass outside the Civic Centre in Sunderland. On a foam mat. With a blanket, just a big coat. And with children. And it was bloody freezing.
All to get some concert tickets. For a concert which is taking place when we're on holiday. For tickets which are now making us a handsome profit on Ebay.

It's Spring and babies are being born all over the place. This one, Erica, was born on El's farm a couple of days ago.
