Although I can't believe it's now been three weekends of dust and dirt, the concrete outside the front of the house is finished. I'm possibly slightly biased, but it does look wonderful.
Naturally, a before picture ...

And, during ...

And, of course, after ...

I've been a little busy lately. Nothing exciting, I've just not had a minute. Or at least it feels that way. I have been doing serious amounts of hard labour though. The weekend before last was spent breaking up the old concrete outside the front of the house. And this last weekend involved making up a lot of gear. I'm quite proud of my newly gained knowledge; apparently gear is the technical term used to describe cement and sand. And making up describes the mixing process. Anyway, making up my gear involved much pain; pain which will be repeated next weekend when yet more gear needs to be made up to complete the job. It's starting to look good though, even if I say so myself. I may even post pictures when it's finished.
As a reward for our hard work, we had a couple (-ish) of hours in the pub. After which Paula (who now answers only to the name of Fame) modelled her new evening wear.

I went out last night with Ian and Phil. Despite my good intentions of leaving at a sensible time, I didn't. And, although I have no memory of the event whatsoever, apparently I attempted a blog entry. I've no idea what I was trying to type before apparently falling asleep ....
