Some weird stuff happened today. It's hard to explain, but it's head-fucking stuff. It's life I guess. Anyway, we went to see inglourious basterds at the cinema this afternoon. It was pretty good, but in a disturbing kind of way..
Yes, disturbing.
But clever.
In a disturbing kind of way.
We missed a good band at our local today. Apparently. We weren't there. We often aren't. There, I mean. Or anywhere. Ever.

I think that the Summer's broken again. After last weekend's
sunshine, this one's pretty grim. We had a day in the house yesterday,
which must be the first time I've done that in a while. We were
supposed to be going to Ellen's annual barbeque, but my spouse has
contracted swine flu. Of course, some of us might think it's just a
cold. She's really not well, though. This weekend's quite different from last week; apart from the weather, that is. We were out Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, which was a bit silly really. While in the Tuns on Friday though, we made an important discovery. Paul, the landlord, has terrible taste in music, so we were very wary when he told us about a singer we'd not heard of; Sam Baker. He loaned us a CD, but it was Sunday before we had a quick listen. And we loved it. He's on tour in the UK next month and one of the dates is at the Cluny, so we bought tickets straight away.
It was pretty hard to tell Paul that we'd liked the album; it just felt wrong.
Well, time for toast and coffee I think.
