Shower

It’s important that a lady has nice bathroom facilities. So, now that I’ve resumed work on the bathroom, I’ve fitted a bespoke shower for my second in command. Of course, it’s a temporary arrangement, but I must acknowledge that I do know how to treat a lady.

Christmas shopping

Every year, at around this time (sometimes later) I begin to think seriously about doing some Christmas shopping.

I guess I’m too set in my ways to change now.

Contact

If you believe that your number may be held as a contact in my phone, that might not be the case.

A minor technical issue has led to the loss of my contacts.

While I’m sure I made a back-up a little while ago, I may have mislaid it. I’ve found one from 2011, but think it’s going to be way too outdated to use.

Boilershop Steamer

It’s worth making a trip to Newcastle on the first Friday or Saturday of the month. The Boilershop Steamer is a pretty chilled event in a gorgeous venue. The building has real history, railway history that is.

For anyone who hadn’t heard, the Rocket was built there.

And now it’s a place to drink beer (or cider in my case), eat nice food and listen to live music.

Christmas in Gateshead

I’ve just been to town, it was horrendous. Although I detest the place, I may need to resort to the Metrocentre for Christmas shopping. It’s a vile place, but my annual trip for Christmas shopping doesn’t really hurt too much.

For some reason, going to town today reminded me of childhood. Well, Christmas as a child. And a jingle that used to play on the radio (my mother used to listen to the radio a lot).

Shepherds of Gateshead the biggest and the best store,
Shepherds of Gateshead have what you are looking for,
There’s so much to see,
And the car park is free,
Coming shopping at Shepherds with the whole family!

Which is strange since Shepherds was demolished several decades ago.

House guest

It’s been quite a while since Suki (Ellen’s rabbit) visited.

When she last stayed, she made friends with a brush in the kitchen and my eldest grandson. I think she preferred the brush though.
